Kesha Cancels Berlin Concert After Slamming White House Over Unauthorized Music Use
Pop star Kesha has expressed that she is “devastated” after being forced to cancel her Berlin concert just a day before her scheduled performance.
The announcement comes hours after Kesha publicly criticized Donald Trump’s White House for using her music in a TikTok video depicting jets dropping a bomb, calling the move “inhumane” and accusing the administration of “making light of war.”
Flight Issues Force Cancellation
The 39-year-old singer, known for hits like Your Love is My Drug, took to Instagram to apologize to fans after her and her crew’s flights from Australia to Europe were unexpectedly canceled.
“To my Berlin animals,” Kesha wrote in her Instagram Stories. “Me and my crew’s flights have been canceled. I sat at the airport praying. There is just no way we will make it there in time. I am devastated.”
She reassured fans she will return, adding: “I love you all so much and please stay safe. I promise to make it up to you all when I can get back there.”
European Tour Dates Affected
The cancellation impacts the European leg of Kesha’s Tits Out Tour, with planned performances in Paris on March 6, Amsterdam on March 7, and Antwerp on March 9. Fans shared their disappointment on social media, highlighting the frustration of traveling long distances for the canceled show.
White House Controversy
Kesha’s Instagram post followed a heated dispute with the White House, which had used her 2010 hit Blow from her EP Cannibal in a TikTok video showing missiles being launched. The video caption read “Lethality” alongside fire and eagle emojis, timed to the lyrics “This place about to blow.”
“This has come to my attention that the White House has used one of my songs on TikTok to incite violence and threaten war,” Kesha stated. “Trying to make light of war is disgusting and inhumane. I absolutely do NOT approve of my music being used to promote violence of any kind.”
Fan Reactions
Fans reacted strongly to both the concert cancellation and the White House controversy. Some expressed disappointment over the short notice of the flight issues, while others supported Kesha’s stance against the unauthorized use of her music.
