TV stars bid farewell to beloved family home

Television presenter Stacey Solomon and actor Joe Swash are reportedly preparing to leave their Essex home, Pickle Cottage, after five transformative years.

According to sources, the couple has found a new property nearby, described as a sprawling estate with eight bedrooms, 30 acres of land, a swimming pool, and even a private lake. The move is said to mark a fresh chapter for the family.

A home filled with memories

Pickle Cottage, purchased in 2021, became a central part of the couple’s lives. Named after their son Rex, affectionately known as “Pickle,” the property spans 2.5 acres and required extensive renovations.

At the time of the purchase, Stacey shared her excitement on social media, calling the home a place that “needed lots of love and TLC.” She later documented her renovation journey online, expressing pride in the work she put into transforming the house.

Renovations and personal touches

The couple invested significantly in the property, including a £900 makeover of Rex’s bedroom, which featured an animal-themed design. Stacey frequently shared updates with fans, reflecting on the effort she poured into making Pickle Cottage a family home.

In one post, she wrote: ‘I definitely don’t tell myself often enough how proud I am of all the love and hard work I’ve put into Pickle Cottage. Not a day has gone by for the last year I haven’t worked my little bum off doing whatever I could to make this special house our home.’

A new beginning

A source close to the couple told The Mirror that the move is about more than just extra space. ‘It’s a fresh start,’ the source said. ‘Pickle Cottage has been a place where Stacey and Joe’s relationship has been up and down.’....
